La trentaine en quarantaine
Turning 30 while in quarantine is not much fun... unless you plan otherwise!
This year, I'll turn 30 and my Crohn's will turn 10. Yes, we've now been living together for 10 years. I'm fortunate to be able to count on a wonderful team to guide me through the many ups and downs, people that I know I can trust: my team at the Montreal General Hospital's IBD Centre. To thank them for all they do, I decided to turn my party into a fundraiser this year.
On Saturday, April 18, I'm organizing a scavenger hunt that can be done at home. All those who have registered will receive, on the day of the event, a list of 15 photo concepts to create: decorations, costumes, crafts or simply scribbling over your photos, all ways are good to create the most original concepts! For example, the charming portrait of your lovely host (shown here) could be used to illustrate the theme "A day at the beach".
The person or team that will have completed the 15 concepts the fastest will receive a bottle of sparkling wine. The person or team who has demonstated the most creativity will also receive one.
To participate, you must make a minimum donation of $10 per person or $20 per household before 8:00 a.m. on April 18. Once I have confirmation of your donation, you will be officially registered.
ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT
The list of the 15 photo concepts will be sent to all participants at 10:00 a.m. sharp by email.
A photo album has been created in the Facebook group "La trentaine en quarantaine". Your photos will have to be published there if you want them to be accepted. If you don't have access to Facebook, call me, we'll arrange something else.
When you've completed all the concepts, you must text me at 514 772-6569 and I'll go check that all your photos are in the album.
Feeling competitive? At any time, for an additional donation of $20 on the day of the event, you can send an extra challenge to the person or team of your choice.
Our goal is to have lots of fun while raising lots of money to support my wonderful medical team.
As my grandmother would say: Apply yourself! It's a lot more fun when you apply yourself!
P.S. Of course, participation in the activity is not mandatory. You can also simply make a donation.
Thanks a lot and see you soon!
